There's a sand bar directly opposite the stairs from where I made this.
The wave cut platform to the west is interesting if the tide isn't all the way out

I've been there quite a few times and it's allways semed to me far more interesting at low tide but even if you miss it, it's perhaps worth scaring the crap out of yourself on the clifftops near beachy head?!
Be aware though, there's no fast way of getting from there to Dover. It is a favourite spot of mine but you might find the beaches further East just as interesting (if not more, I've not really been past Dungeness) but a far smaller de-tour.
