Artist's Comments

Spring has finally sprung in England (well actually a few weeks ago but I've be SO busy!) the annual carpet of bluebells is making me go all soft inside ... again! Damn I'm wet these days!!! =P

I have a few Images I'm really happy with but never the less all comments and especially criticism, as always, are very gratefully appreciated.

I hope you are all doing great, your new years resolutions panning out nicely and a fantastic summer awaits =)

Think you have captured 'summer' here, feels awesome just looking at it.

From a photographic aspect, The sun is a little overpowering the top left, although the sun adds great light and without cropping the photograph just try to avoid actually capturing the sun to avoid the sun, or use a polorizing filter to soften the effects of it.
Also its taken on an angle, the composition would be better if the photograph was level, with both foreground and background interest.. just some suggestions :)
Lovley photograph though..

Thanks for the suggestions, especially the polariser. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and invest in one for my wide angle lens.
I am usually a stickler for a horizontal horizon but this was actually shot on a slope so when I correct it the trees all lean to the left! =S
Thanks for commenting buddy =D :highfive:

As i have said to you in person, i really do favour your black and white shots. I think because without the distraction of colour you can connect with the picture on a far deeper level. Regarding this photo though, there are only a few places in nature where the rich purple can be found, and against the vibrant green, makes a feast for the eyes.

Having said all that, i'm no expert and to some... probably a philistine!

It's a great spot - most of the woods around here have so much crap in them it's hard to get a shot as clean as this. I'd really like to find some mature/ancient woodland with a similar thing but ... well the only place I can think of right now is Nap wood, I can't remember if I've tried there before.
